The time limit for lodging claims has been extended for one month and will not expire until the 3rd of November 2009.
Furthermore the previously scheduled claimant meeting on the 23rd of October 2009 has been postponed until Friday 27th of November 2009, at 10 am. The meeting will be held at the meeting hall of the bank at Raudarárstígur 27, 2nd floor, Reykjavík.
This was decided only last Friday on the grounds of several reasons. Most importantly this is done to eliminate all threat of misunderstanding due to the fact that the initial announcement had to be re-published because of a small error. Due to this re-publishing some creditors may have thought they had longer time to lodge their claim. Also, the bank’s intention is to apply for further extension of moratorium and for that purpose a creditor’s meeting is required. The claimant meeting will be combined with the meeting to discuss extension of moratorium for the benefit of the creditors.
